A few weeks ago, we went to the circus with the kids good friends, Addison, and Carter. The kids loved going to the circus, for the first time ever. I think the circus is a little creepy but I'm also in awe of the talent in a circus. Serious athletes...but creepy. They loved the high wire acts, the trapeze artists, and the animals. Their favorite act, though, was the motorcycle riders in the dome or orb or whatever you call it. The cage. It was loud and scary! (Exactly how you could describe a Saturday morning at our house.) The motorcycle act had Drowning Pool's "Bodies" playing loudly (how could that song be played softly?) The kids loved it since they are familiar with that song (it's on my ipod.) Since going to the circus they've asked me to play that song over and over. Bad Mom, huh? No bad words...just loud, raucous, and rebellious, (again...just a Saturday morning at my house, so, they felt right at home.)

I thought about going to that circus but didn't know how scary it might be. Maybe we'll have to try it next year. We have only taken the kids once the circus at the Delta Center and Maren was just a baby.
