Grand Champion!

O.K. So he wasn't Grand Champion at the State Fair. We were happily surprised, though, to see that the Watermelon Radishes that Max grew in our garden won in his category. He was awarded a white ribbon and this big, beautiful purple ribbon that was a "Merit Award". Max was the only kid that entered in the adult division so it has entered my mind that they were giving him this pretty ribbon to instill in him a love of gardening and entering the state fair. Max was thrilled and shocked. He was so proud and so were we!
