Many of you will remember, because you were traumatized, last year we happened upon this incredibly creepy, hand-made doll. It was entered into the state fair, hoping to win some sort of prize. So this year we were on the hunt. Hoping to find something that could top last year. I don't think these top last year, but they ARE creepy in their own right. I don't know if you can tell in these pictures, but the skin has been "artfully" sponged to look like it has a variety of colors...much like real skin (sans the sponged part.) These beauties were made by the same "artisan" and I really hope that she doesn't read my blog. I don't want anyone to be offended. I just really dislike these kinds of dolls. They creep me out!
P.S. as I finished this post I must have accidentally swiped my cursor over the top picture (creepiest picture) and I was startled to see a giant, closeup version of the doll flash up on my computer screen! Oh the horror!!! Seriously, I am still shaking.)

I agree Wendy~ I know someone has to see the likeness and enjoy the art~ babies ARE totally precious~ but I only see the unhappy expressions on lifeless forms~ maybe if pinker? smiles?

Did you see the Dateline about the women who buy these babies for $1000s and carry them around pretending they're real??? You know you took these pictures in your own house...you're a closet fake baby collector. :)
