State Fair 2012

We love going to the fair...trying a fried food creation, looking at the flowers and garden and bakery or sewing entries, and telling our kids "no" on the unregulated fair rides, etc... This year was no different except Max didn't have an entry in the garden section. We did try the fried green jello. It was surprisingly good. The highlight, though? Max thought one of the giant sheep that was being shown had a cancerous tumor and he expressed his sadness. "No honey, those are his testicles," I responded matter-of-factly. "WHAT?!!" he said. His laughter couldn't be contained. It was the most unbridled belly laugh...I thought he might land on the floor! So I took a picture of the aforementioned testicles. I want to remember that moment of joy. Honest to goodness joy. I really should have video taped it (Max, not the testicles!)...pictures don't do it justice.

Yummy roasted corn!

Lilly got to milk a goat!

The kids got to "be on tv" as ksl news anchors.

Max looking very professional!
