Ashley & Davis

Yesterday was spent supporting my niece on her wedding day. Oh boy, is that a way to make a girl feel old. Our nephew, Jeremy, was married a few years ago and he and his wife are expecting their 2nd child. That Alan and I are a Great Aunt/Uncle is mind blowing! It is still hard to digest the fact that our little nieces and nephews are old enough to marry and make babies!

Ashley smiled the whole day (and kissed Davis ALOT!) It was nice to see her so happy. We started the day at the Salt Lake Temple at about 9:00 am, then a luncheon in American Fork at 1:00, kicked around the Orem Mall with my sister-in-law, Beth, and her girls, to kill some time before the reception at 6:30. It was a long, full day and I am amazed that my kids did pretty good. No meltdowns! It was nice to get to know Davis better and meet his family. They seem really nice. They are from Sanpete and are really down to earth, warm people. It looks like Ashley made a good choice not only in husband but in extended family.

Congratulations Ashley and Davis!

Waiting at the Salt Lake Temple with cute cousin, Kyle (Ashley's little brother.)

Lil and Max with Ashley's little sis, Angela, and big cousin, Tyler.

Lil and her beloved cousin, Jessica.

Angela and a not-so-happy-to-be-waiting Max.

The happy couple!

My photos didn't turn out great in this light but I wanted to share them, nevertheless. This was Davis's and Ashley's first dance.

Dad and daughter dance.

I was standing so far away but I loved seeing Ashley's Mom, Marianne, watching her daughter dance with Dad.

Lilly begged Max to dance with her.

Our own little Dad/Daughter dance.

The beautiful bride dancing with her little sister,Angela, and their cousin, Olivia.

The happy couple leaving while we nearly whacked them with sticks. The ribbons looked pretty but I don't think the wedding planner anticipated how many times the kids would use them as weapons! The newlyweds were running to Ashley's car to make their getaway...Brett (Ashley's Dad) had other plans. He surprised them with a stretch limo that looked like a night club on the inside! I didn't get a photo because at that moment Lil was having melt down.
