Love O'My Life.

I've been married to the birthday boy for 17 1/2 years now! We met in college and then he went on a mission and I moved to New York. When he had 6 months left on his mission, I went on a mission. For 3 years exactly, we wrote letters or sent cassette tapes (you may have to call me if you are too young to remember cassette tapes) back and forth. I hadn't really ever been on a date with him because he was a poor college student saving for a mission. Then I came home from my mission and he took me out on a couple of dates. I broke up with him 3 times in the first 2 weeks of being home from my mission. Then asked him out on a date and the rest is history. I worked my tail off to put him through Law School. We struggled to have babies. We adopted two babies. He puts up with a lot from his beloved wife and two kids! And now, here we are...his 40th birthday. A blessed day because I turned 40, 5 months ago, and now he can stop reminding me I'm older than him.

Happy Birthday, Big Al! I love you! Thanks for never mentioning my ever growing pile of laundry...my lack of a well thought out dinner plan on most nights...my desire to move and talk about it incessantly...my grumpiness...my yelling at above mentioned children...etc...etc... You are a gem and I love that I get to celebrate your birthdays every year! You are amazing, wonderful, smart, funny, handsome (like Clark Kent/Superman) and truly the person I love! I'm so glad I picked you!!! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Alan! I loved your story. And Wendy, thank you for your offer to bring me something yesterday when I was under the weather. I saw it late last night but I am feeling better. Sometimes you just need sleep! :)
