As you know, Lilly loves little people and animals. She loves playing with them, lining them up, giving them names, imagining conversations they are having. At Disneyland she got a set of princesses. The usual suspects; Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Snow White....I think I got em all. I overheard Lilly and the princesses having a party. It was so cute hearing what the "princesses" were saying.
Then I heard this, "I didn't mean to make you mad!" "Well, you did! You shouldn't have done that! It's my birthday and I wanted to look the prettiest!"
"What's going on, Lilly? It sounds like there is a problem at the princess party."
"Yes. It's a big problem. It's Belle's birthday party but Snow White showed up in a yellow dress, too. Belle was mad because she wanted to look the prettiest at her party."
WOW! I can't believe a 3 year old thinks in these terms!
I also have a picture of another configuration of her "people."
"They are waiting in line at Disleyland, Mom!"
I have to tell you each of their names...I just don't want to forget them! These have been their names since I met them. I don't know how she remembers them! Here goes (starting L to R): Jerry, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmin, Snow White, Mulan, Alicia (if we pronounce it "aleesha" she corrects us...it is "aleeCia,") Mommy, Santa, Diego, (you can't see the rest) Ginger, Ramon (who is one of the wise men from our nativity,) Kristen, Hat Hatch Girl (yes, that's her name,) Nest, and finally...Blueberry Shortcake. I LOVE hearing the names she comes up with. She has little tiny babies (a lot like Jerry at the front of the line) and their names are Betty, Bill, Tom, and finally....the one that convinced me I had to write this down? Her name is "What I did for love." She goes by "Love." Of course.

Hilarious.
LOVE this post, like I love all of your posts. :) I MISS YOU!!! And by the way, do not know HOW you did Disneyland in 113 degrees. I was wishing it were warmer last week when we were there, but on Saturday when it was in the 90's, I was grateful it wasn't. Glad you had fun, we did too! Next year let's plan better and go together! Shall we plan lunch?? While the kids are off school perhaps. :D
She's a deep thinker!
Lilly always makes me smile!
too cute!
