I love my husband.

This is sappy but I keep this blog as my journal and you just happen to have permission to peek in (: In May we will celebrate 17 years of marriage. Not all blissful but certainly an accomplishment we are proud of. I think I got the better end of this bargain. He is so loving and sweet to me. I am not one of those naggy, grumpy wives but I am definitely a pain in the a$$ (does it really help to make those "S's" into dollar signs?) I am opinionated and often uneducated or misinformed on many of those opinions. But, after all these years, he hasn't lost his respect for my viewpoint. As many of you know, I am a little uptight about my housekeeping. He is patient (usually) with me and allows for my tightly wound nature. He always lets me choose what restaurant we eat at. He has never once, in 17 years, told me my thighs needed some toning or that I should lay off that cookie! If he finds himself with some free time he chooses to spend it with me and Max and Lilly. He has got a stressful job and has about 950 employees. He is constantly concerned about those people and the people they serve. I am not exaggerating when I say he doesn't sleep well. EVER. It is rare for him to get a solid night's sleep. Even with all of that on his shoulders he still chooses to stay home with his family. He has every excuse, in my book, to go out with his friends, play golf, or just watch t.v. and relax without us bugging him. Instead he plays games with Max and Lil. He also tries to encourage me to take time for myself. He lets me go out for hours at a time just so I can have a break from kids and go shopping or something. What a man! I really feel like I hit the jackpot with Big Al. I really don't want this to sound braggy...I just need to write down these words. (In part, so that I can re-read this when I'm mad at him!) He is a super husband and Dad and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
