We have had a lot of fun in the sun this year! Because of year round school Max's break is short. In fact, he starts 2nd grade tomorrow! We have packed in a lot of fun, though, so far. We have been spending time at the beach, (there is a beach at the lake at Daybreak...it is AWESOME!!!) digging in the sand (Lilly found a tumbleweed that she didn't want to let go of), getting sun-kissed...or in my case, sun-burned. We saw an outdoor movie on a big, inflatable screen. Our friend Dave had a part in the movie. That is Dave in the white shirt and hat. He signed autographs after the show. He had a great part in the movie. He is always fun to watch...even when he is a bad guy...or especially when he is a bad guy?! Max and Lilly have enjoyed riding bikes, going to the park with friends, jumping on the trampoline, and playing in the water. Max has a hard time figuring out how to play with Lil and not get frustrated by her two-year-oldness. But, in this picture, he seems to have figured out how to use her to his benefit! He was enjoying a popsicle while she chauffered him around! Even though Max starts school tomorrow we are going to try and keep summer going. After homework we'll be heading to the water!

I'm with you. I want to keep up our summer fun. it is my favorite time of the year! I guess I'll just have to be more creative...
I was hoping you meant that the heat was going to end! I can't wait for fall already, but I love the summer family excursions.
