My friend, Carol, gave Lilly this little green frog, holding a blanket, as a new baby gift. We put "Froggy" into her bed with her nearly from the beginning. She can't sleep without him BUT she frequently steals him out of her crib and takes him with her throughout the day. That means, that when bed time comes, "Froggy" is often no where to be found and we are known to frantically search the house and yard for Mr. Frog. One time we lost "Froggy" and after searching high and low we gave Lilly the replacement frog that we kept in the car for "froggy" emergencies. "Other Froggy", as Lilly calls him, is smaller with a soft, felt crown on his head. ("Real" Froggy would never wear a crown...too over-the-top.) "Other Froggy" was accepted and he helped Lilly get through that first night without "Froggy". The next day we found "Froggy" and Lilly was overjoyed! BUT, now she needs BOTH frogs at night! Though "Froggy" and "Other Froggy" are equally loved, original "Froggy" is the one Lilly chooses to sit across from her at her little lunch table, go on tricycle rides, or get pushed in the swing. I'll be so sad when the day comes that she forgets to take "Froggy" with her. All I can picture is "Mr. Froggy" at all the important moments of her life. Do you think her husband will mind sharing the wedding photos with "Mr. Froggy"?

Wendy, it is Dave not Jen. Too too funny. Laughing out loud at work here. Good thing everybody is at lunch. Thanks for letting us steal a peak at your sweet paver patio/porch thing.
p.s. jen loves it when i "hijack" her blog... heh hehe heh....
that is too cute!! I can't say I'll be sad the day Phenix forgets his blankie, but then again, maybe I will...:(
and don't worry, I'm not REALLY making homemade fireworks.
My kids have never been attached to something that way. Afton sleeps with a lamb, but never carried it around, and could be consoled if we couldn't find him. I always think it is so cute when kids love their little blankies or animals so much.
I think this must be the same frog she threw off the balcony at the hotel when you came to Ventura. I guess Mr. Frog likes adventure :)
LOL Oh, that is so cute! So funny! I never pictured Froggy on a bike ride but I am overjoyed. LOL Thank you for sharing that, Wendy. Who knew???
