We got out the inflatable pool and shade umbrellas. We filled bowls with chips, veggies, and homemade salsa. Everyone had a hot dog. We ate cupcakes that resembled the beach (frosting pressed into graham cracker crumbs.) The kids played for hours on our skim board/slip-n-slide. We put the folding slide on the slip-n-slide and they played on that! No one wanted to go in. No one wanted the grey clouds overhead to let loose. We were willing summer to be here...stay here! A few of us (me, included) had summer colds but we didn't let that stop us. Boy! Was it fun!

Yeah, that taste of summer was fun while it lasted.

Looks like fun! I am fighting a summer cold myself, this week. What a waste of a holiday weekend... being too sick to have fun :(
