Max and Lilly are so different. I know they aren't biologically related...but you'd think their environment would make them more alike. They both like a good laugh and tend to "laugh at other people's pain" (as Max puts it). Max was never into reading a book. He liked to be read to. Lilly loves reading, wants to do it herself, and even recognizes letters. She is interested in spelling, writing, reading, numbers and the alphabet. Max was much more interested in a good conversation, watching an in-depth documentary for 2 hours (seriously!) about the mole rat or ancient weapons, or playing a rousing game of "battle". Lilly hasn't sat still for as much as a commercial on t.v. She refuses to watch even a moment of television. Although, she did stop to look at a pianist on t.v., intently listened for a moment, and then turned to me and said "Can I do that?". I need to get a piano for I may have a piano player on my hands. Know any good teachers? Recently, I caught her reading her two favorite books "Goodnight Moon" and "My World" to her froggies. They are named, by Lilly, "Froggy" and "Other Froggy". She has the books memorized and it is so cute to hear her teeny tiny voice reciting the words. She also carries around her "Rody". That is the inflated, red horse she has propped up, eating cereal with her, at her little table. That thing is bigger than her and she carries him around like it is her baby. She is really adorable....sometimes not...but usually so.

I adore kid lit, love that Lilly has Froggy and Other Froggy (clever girl), and she is thoroughly delightful every time I see her...
I love this post! Just think, someday you WILL miss her daily doings. :) Enjoy it while it lasts.
What an adventurous little girl and a good imagination. My kids loved Good Night Moon when they were toddlers too.
she might really like these music classes I've been doing with the girls. It teaches a little piano (although maybe not for Lily's age) but the classes are full of dancing, singing, playing... let me know if you are interested.
She is too precious. I love the horse eating cereal! I have a fabulous teacher - she teaches Suzuki style. She lives in Murray. She is who teaches my Taylor. Call me if you want more info.
Awe...that's adorable!
