We get to go to Alan's parents house for Sunday dinner every 3rd Sunday. We always have a delicious meal with interesting conversation. Max and Lilly absolutely love it! They look forward to this. Max gets to ride a bike in the cul-de-sac and play with trains on Grandmas living room floor. He builds skyscrapers with blocks that Lilly knocks down. Grandpa Great is always there. Though he can't converse like he used to, every once in awhile you catch a glimmer in his eye and see that he is chuckling at his great-grandchildren. This last time Lilly was making a funny face where she jutted her lower lip out and over the top of her upper lip. It looked so funny. She was happily in awe when her Grandpa Graeme did the same back to her! She looked so caught off guard that Grandpa could do this too! I tried to capture it on camera but didn't quite get it. (I was holding Lilly and trying to take the picture with one hand.)
I love that my children have this tradition in their lives. These simple routines give my kids such a rich foundation. I am grateful for good people in their lives, both family and friends, that shower my kids with love and attention. People that mean the world to us and make our lives so much more than they would be without them. We appreciate that we have friends with varied backgrounds and interests, different opinions and perspectives on the world. We hope our children understand how much we love you as friends because of, (and sometimes in spite of,) those differences. I know that this election has been divisive. I know we all have strong and varied opinions. I hope that we can appreciate the differences in one another and value our friendships above all. I am grateful for all of you and the depth and richness you add to my simple life.

OK, so I am going to give it a name~ Wendy Wisdom~ How did you get so insightful so fast? Thanks for your thoughts, makes me want to say *Amen*.
okay, so...I saw your comment on Brenda's blog about the text in between the photos. When you upload your pictures, it should show something like < a blah blah blah So, you just need to type your text right before or after that (either in front of or behind the >'s). So then you'll have a picture, some text, a picture, some text or whatever you want. Does that make any sense? I think that's what you're trying to figure out. I'll come over and show you if you can't get it (or even if you can).
What a fun family tradition! Sorry you are under-the-weather and hope you get feeling better SOON!!
