Big Al

I didn't mention that my cute husband finally caught up with me. He turned 38 last week. For his birthday, I surprised him with tickets to Metallica. Yes...he likes that sort of thing. His childhood friend, Mike, showed up at his office to take him to the concert. Alan had absolutely no idea what his surprise would be. I only gave him a few instructions...someone was going to show up at your office at 6:00, take a change of clothes, you'll probably get home very late. He hates these kind of clues. Having been married to me for 15 1/2 years he has become wary of what I am capable of. He thinks I cross the line a lot. I could tell many things were running through his mind. It was so fun to see him worry. I am, after all, harmless. He loved it. He said it took him back 20+ years.

Today he flew to Washington D.C. He'll be gone the rest of the week. I don't like it when he is gone. You'd think, after 15 1/2 years, I would like a break every now and then. I don't. In fact, I 'd like more of him. I am lucky to be married to someone that is interesting to talk to, likes being a (great) Dad, is compassionate and funny, and doesn't mind being married to ME.

What a fun present! I'm pretty sure Bryan thinks I cross the line a lot as well.
