So Funny!

I had to do this quick post. I just keep giggling from these two things I recently heard/read. First, my friend Jami wrote this on her blog. Her daughter has been interested in Spanish lately. She keeps pointing out Spanish words she has heard. This is the conversation last night at dinner, "Mom, what are we eating?" Jami replied "These are fajitas." "Oh, that is spanish for 'tacos'," says Katie. Jami, "Well, actually 'fajitas' and 'tacos' are both spanish words." Katie replied, "Yes. 'Taco' is the spanish word for 'quesadilla'.
Isn't that adorable!

The second story was from my Aunt's niece (on the other side of the family). Her niece relayed this story directly to me. It made me laugh so hard. She is 39 years old and was having this conversation with her Dad.
"Dad, would you mind googling something for me on your computer?"
Dad, in a stunned voice, "I don't know what that is but I am not doing it and I don't think you should be doing it either!" He had absolutely no trace of humor in his voice.
"Dad! You know what googling is. Don't tease."
"No. That sounds dirty and I am not doing it nor have I ever done that. I don't want you doing it either!"
"Dad, are you serious? 'Google' is just a way to search on the internet." "I don't know what you are talking about."
"Really, Dad? I will bet you that 9 out of 10 of the employees at your job have googled today, multiple times."
"I want you to stop talking about this. I work with fine people that would NEVER do such a thing!"
She gave up after 15 minutes of this line of questioning.

That is so funny, I love how kids these days know more than their parents!! When I said crickets- it's because I was just getting blank stares & you could have heard crickets. Hope that clears it up.

I love it!! (and I am old enough to be that same father)
Although I could not get through a day, even at work, without a few google searches, I recall when I refused to get a *HOTMAIL* account because it did not sound nice.
