It's official!

We did the closing today on both our old house and new home! Although, I would normally say it was exciting, it was actually a little anti-climactic. It took 2 1/2 hours for one thing but the main reason is that we aren't out of this house until Thursday. When we stop and look at the whirlwind that was May, we can't help but feel like everything was working to convince us that we were making the right move. Even the obstacles that cropped up seemed to get resolved almost before they surfaced. Our Realtor gets choked up when she talks about how she thinks we were meant to be here. She said she's never had a selling/closing like this in all her years and it makes her shake her head in disbelief. We do feel blessed and can't deny that we feel like we are doing the right thing. That doesn't mean we won't miss our neighbors terribly! We will work hard to stay in touch and have you over for a visit!

We have had such a nice experience with our seller, Chris, too. He's sweet and kind. As a thank you, we commissioned a watercolor painting of the backyard deck and creek, including those ducks that Chris loves. Our friend, Mike, did it and we are amazed at his talent! He did this in about 4 days! Isn't it fantastic?! We can't wait to give it to him!
