It's been way to long since I posted. I can't give an adequate excuse. I'm busy but not overly so. I need to catch up. So, we are going back in time to Nov/Dec, 2011. We had just finished our cruise and Thanksgiving was the next week. It was an Ormsby year. We ate the usual fare, except I didn't make Sweet Potatoes this year! I tried my hand at cake pops. Turkey cake pops whose tail feathers I initially put on upside down so it made the turkey butts look like they had missiles shooting out. Alan brought this to my attention and I quickly changed my turkey butt gluing procedure.
It was the usual fun at Marianne's and Brett's house. Eating. Teasing each other. Eating some more. Swinging children in a blanket and hearing them scream with delight. Tyler picking up his Mother...for some reason...I can't remember now what they were doing! I could almost post pictures from every year and you wouldn't be able to tell the exact year except for the children changing. I seems little boring, this post, talking about the same things...nothing really new. But, when you are a kid and you grow up, looking back on your childhood, it's this stuff you remember, isn't it? Being with family. Doing the same things year to year. It all melts together into this one big memory that you feel. How lucky are my kids that they have these memories? Priceless, really.
