12 days of Christmas.
Today is 12 days til Christmas! Every year on this day, my smart, nice husband does the "12 days of Christmas" for our kids. A few years ago he wanted to bring more of the meaning of Christmas into our home, especially for our "Santa-focused" children. So on this day and the remaining days before Christmas, he writes a sweet letter to our kids, as Santa Claus. He gives them small gifts that relate to the Savior and the meaning of the season. His letters are touching and sweet. They humbly remind the reader of why we celebrate. My kids love it. You can overhear Max explaining to Lilly why we should remember Jesus and not just think about getting presents. It's been a nice tradition to keep up. I'm so grateful for a good husband that does these special things for our family!

What a sweet tradition. Alan has a lot of patience to write the letters. We don't do nearly enough of the letter-writing. Thanks for the inspiration!
That is awesome that he does that! How fun will that be when your kids are older to look back on that.
