Christmas 2010.

This was the best picture I could get of my excited children. (Max's eyes are creeping me out in this photo!) They had just put out the plate of cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer.
I was up at 5:00 thanks to Big Al and his nose. Lilly came in to our room at 5:55, I sent her in to Max's room. We all brushed our teeth in our bathroom and Lilly, excitedly, said, "Mom, this is great!" But by the time we got to the top of the stairs she said, "I'm terrified!" She was so worried about coming down the stairs! You can see that Max wasn't worried at all! I love this picture of him!
As I write this post it is 11:00. Max has not stopped building. He got these Lego's, a Lego board game, and a bunch of other Lego paraphernalia. Yes. He likes Lego's. (I don't think you can tell, but Max's pj's have a nutcracker and written below it says "I'm a crackup." So true, and Max collects nutcrackers. He was thrilled with his pj's!)

Lilly was thrilled to get a double stroller and then almost as thrilled to get twins to push around. She has named them Belle and Sparky. Santa brought Sparky a pair of vans and Belle has new crocs. And Lilly got a set of wooden toy cupcakes that almost fulfills her desire to bake and eat delicious cake products. She's a happy girl. No longer terrified of what lay waiting in the front room.
Jack the Cat got just one little thing in his stocking...but it's a good one! He's loving sneaking up on this mouse that squeaks nearly non-stop. He sits, waiting around the corner and then pounces on it ferociously!

We have been tremendously blessed by our friends, family, and neighbors this Christmas! The amount of cookies, chocolates, candies, and popcorn sitting on my counter is absurd! You are all too generous! Thanks for your gift of friendship, love, and support for our family! We hope you have your best Christmas day ever! We are so grateful for the gifts the Savior has given us and would feel so selfish if we didn't share the love we have for our Savior. We are so happy to celebrate his birth in such a fun, festive way! Love from us to you on this Christmas Day!
