Women's Conference

After hearing for a few years, from my friend Jen, that I should go to women's conference, I decided to give it a try. 15,000 women, traffic, lots of walking, no lunch breaks, lots of sitting on pews or folding chairs. Sounds great, huh? It was. It was fun to go just for the wisdom shared. I truly appreciated the learning. I needed it. It was good to be reminded of things I'd forgotten. To feel inspired to be better. Even though you are one of 15,000...it feels  very individualized. Very personal. I had fun with my good friends, Jen, Jen, Jami, and their cute Mom/Mom-in-law, Barbara and Karma. This is something I could see doing every year. I also got to visit with my dear friend's  Mother. Carol's Mom is an author and was signing one of her books at the BYU bookstore. The book is called "So what can kids do in the summertime?" It is full of wonderful ideas of projects, games, etc... for kids. Lorraine Alldredge is the mother of 11 children. Each exceptional and successful. She knows how to raise kids! I personally think my friend Carol is one of the most amazing women I've ever met and I feel honored that she calls me 'friend'.

I've heard so many good things about that women's conference! I wish I would have gone, but I've never even heard about it before. Maybe next time...
What is your friend Carols moms maiden name? She looks like a relative of mine...

Amy, my mom's maiden name is Johnson. She is from Delta, Utah.

Carol, she's Max Johnson's daughter, right? My great grandma is Mary Johnson, his sister. Dan and Elwin were in my ward growing up. :) Small world! I didn't know she's an author!

Amy, cousin! That is AMAZING that my mom's face is recognizable as Johnson like that! I can't wait to tell her. You are right, she is Max's daughter. Find me on facebook so I can talk to you more: Carol Fawson.
