We've had a few fun outings during Max's school break. We spent hours this week with Mabel and Lucy at Liberty Park. They loved the water, though their Mom's neglected to bring water clothes. I didn't get a picture of little Lucy, patiently sitting in her stroller a good chunk of the time. (I included a picture of Miss Lucy at her 1 year birthday party last Sunday.) We ate a bucket of grilled kfc and then walked all around the park. We met two doggies. One as big as Lil, that wanted to jump on her and Mabel. My memory card was full or I'd have gotten pics. of the mass of licking they were enduring. The girls kept going back for more! Also, Kelsey (my sis-in-law) and I giggled over Mable's attempt at rolling down the giant hill. Mabel had observed Max and Lilly doing it and wanted to try. She couldn't figure out how they made their bodies roll. She tried and tried to move her body down that hill. The result was a labored...gosh, I can't even think of the words to describe it...she was on her back, using her feet to propel herself. "Propel" makes it sound fast and active...her movement was slow and so deliberate...but she would move maybe an inch. And she was going sideways so she couldn't benefit from momentum! I got a short video at the end of her attempt. I wish I had gotten more of it...it was seriously one of the most adorable things I've seen in years!

We had so much fun at the park with you guys! Thanks for inviting us! Mabel definitely needs some hill rolling lessons, but it was funny how hard she was trying!
