scary halloween costume

So today we were riding in the car talking with Max. He was excitedly telling us the ideas he has about his Halloween costume this year. He wants to be an "Urukai" (most likely spelled wrong!) from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. These are very scary creatures and Alan and Max were having fun inventing the ways they would build this costume. Alan really started getting into it. He was going on and on about how they could make fangs and make Max's mouth look bigger, etc... Max got quieter and quieter. He wasn't participating as much and finally he interrupted Alan. "Um, Dad. Maybe I should pick a different thing to be for Halloween. I don't think I want to have surgery just for a costume." Poor guy...he really thought this would require surgery! We quickly resolved his concerns and he is back on the "Urukai" band-wagon. Funny boy.
