Good Daddy

Last Friday we went to cornbellys (thanksgiving point) with some great friends. We had fun...we could have had a better time had my children not been asking to go home every few minutes. Alan is usually off on friday but the last 4 or so he has had meetings. This last friday he was home but he wanted to stay home and can salsa. We had such a bounty out of our garden this year and he was excited to try canning (see the top picture). We had these plans to go with our friends and I knew the kids would just love it. Who wouldn't? Hayride, corn mazes, slides, bouncing mats, go-karts, popcorn, etc... I didn't anticipate that my son would say, "Why are we here when my Dad is at home? Let's just go home. I want to be with my Daddy." Even Lilly got in on it. "My Daddy, my Daddy!" Dad was overwhelmingly the winner over the list of other "fun" things. I knew the kids wouldn't be up for a day of canning, but it was sweet that they didn't even think twice...hayride, corn mazes, slides, go-karts......or Daddy. No contest. (He is a pretty darn good Daddy) :)

That is beautiful. Lilly and Max know real fun when they see it - Mommy & DADDY.

How cute! Looks like you guys got a lot of yummy tomatoes! Canned salsa sounds awesome! You guys are way more productive than me.

That's the coolest thing I've heard. It almost makes me cry. But I'm at work.
