zuccinni

So, I should have taken a picture of it. It was the most beautiful zuccinni pie I have ever made. Perfect, flaky, golden crust. The zuccinni was tender with a slight crunch, seasoned with cinnamon and sugar. YUM! Max smelled it cooling and was so excited to have some pie. This boy loves to try all kinds of food. He LOVES sushi, raw tuna, etc... So, when I told him what KIND of pie it was I expected enthusiasm. I got a suspicious face and a big "YUCK". He loves vegetables so this was surprising that he was so against trying this pie. He put one bite in his mouth and said "No Thanks!" The next morning I told him I had baked him a new pie since he didn't like my other pie. I pulled the same pie plate over, it had one piece left in it! He completely believed that I had baked him an apple pie. He devoured the pie saying things like, "Now THIS is pie." "Apple pie is my favorite!" "Oh, this is heaven...I LOVE pie!" When his piece was almost gone I spilled the beans. He was GOT! He threw back his head in laughter "I can't believe you fooled me! I can't believe I love ZUCCINNI PIE!!!" It was fun!

I just updated on your blog. Your family is wonderful. You made my night by joining us a Sam's open house. Thank you for being there and for that amazing hug(s). I wish we had more time to visit and would have loved for Kevin to be there too. Soon...it will be soon. Love you all
