Finally blogging! I think.

I think I finally (started) figuring this out. I know a lot of you have been checking occasionally to see if I have posted anything. I appreciate your comments, ie..."I like your blog, Wendy," head tilts to one side and eyes roll. Really, it has been your smart a** comments that lit a fire under me to figure this out. So, thank you.

It occurs to me as I am writing this that it makes you feel like you have to be pithy and interesting. I am not a writer. I don't like this pressure. I just want a place where you can see pictures of my cute kids and where I can journal some of the cute things they say. I don't do a good job of writing their stuff down and this could be valuable to them someday.

As far as our lives lately, Alan finally has a break from all the business traveling. Tomorrow he and his staff officially start the much publicized "4/10 work schedule". He is excited. Max is starting his 2nd week of 1st grade. He has transitioned much better than I. The full day school schedule is not my favorite. I miss having him run in while I am doing dishes to explain something about a bug. He is also very helpful with Lilly. She is a handful. More like two handfuls! She is so darn cute it makes you tolerate a lot! She is really attached to me...good thing. It makes getting to the housework difficult. Just this week she is trying so hard to talk. Lots of jibberish but also a lot of new words she is really sounding out. It is truly adorable!

I am going to try to keep you posted on our family. Right now I will sign off because I am curious to see if this actually works (posting to my blog :) Love to all of you, our friends out there that make life richer!
